Caleb’s Story

Caleb story

Caleb came to us through a Facebook contact informing us that their relative had just moved into town and would have no income until his new job began. I cant explain why I reached out except to say we were led by the Spirit. We inquired and was told he was a electrician. We had some electrical work we needed done so we reached out to him and he met us on the pantry. His story literaly broke my heart as he described that he was broke and had two little children. I asked about his was wife and he said he left her ot west with her friends and her drugs. Caleb said it was his wives relative that drove all day to pick them up and bring them to Jacksonville.

So many people have passed through our lives in Jacksonville some for good others we were glad we helped them to leave the area. Helping people does not guarantee that they want to permanetely leave the homeless deadbeat lifestyle. Caleb seemed to be a good guy so we got him to do the electrical work we needed we paid what he said it would cost and gave him and his family some food.

Caleb has since come back to do some more work and he has started his new job. He explained his children are doing well and one of them just started school here in Jacksonville. He is extremely responsible and hard-working. The kind of guy you can trust with anything. It feels good inside to give a hand up to someone who deserves it.

I am praying for his wife but I have seen many marriages destroyed by drugs. As you know Caleb and the picture are not real but our purpose is not to shame people but to give them a hand up. Pray for him and the new opportunity the Lord has given him.
