How Mac saved the Day

Mac

Mac showed up one day for food and as I was trying to open a donated 10/10 tent to keep some of the people in line dry, I guess he saw me struggling with the wind and rain and helped me put it up. Since then when he comes, he always walks up to where we are working and says is there anything you need help with? One day after having crashed and burned with two guys I found in the Oceanway group page he came up as always and said need some help today? I almost told him no after the two guys I had just suffered with. Honestly all this believing in others is no cake walk and sometimes you are left high and dry, and God forbid with stolen tools and supplies.

Something said give him a chance, so I did, and I was so surprised that he needed no oversight and he kept asking how I wanted things done. Now that is a miracle!

I have since brought Mac over and paid him to give me a hand since I am almost 70 years old and there is a lot to do around here to keep these 3 acres up and at the same time be the distribution hub that feeds almost 3000 people per month.

Wow, the Lord knew I could not take no more and renewed my faith in helping others get off their feet.

Well lately I have noticed that Mac takes less food and he is being instrumental in helping his neighbors get help. He actually drives his neighbors up to the Food Pantry and then helps them carry their bags back to his car.

Mac is a joy. Very quiet guy, no wife, or kids but very good with his hands. I know there is a story but I don’t want to meddle until we have a closer relationship. I only wish I had more funds to be able to have him help me every day. Not yet, but I know Papa has a plan for him and for me.
