Because the problem will not fix itself!
“Do not despise the day of small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin”
Saturday morning, the day after our regular food giveaway I heard from the Lord. He spoke to me very early in the morning before I was fully wake. He usually does that when He wants to talk to me without my mind interrupting. When I heard Him say “Believe Me” I knew that he was talking for all those people that come to our many food pantries with that look of “I am in a prison of poverty” and I can’t break free.
I have been speaking to friends about the increasing lines at our food giveaways and the persistent burden that I carry knowing that I must do more than just provide temporary relief. As soon as I heard “Believe Me” I knew the Lord was giving me a way out for them. In my spirit I understood that to break free someone must believe in them. To believe is to trust before a person can do something to deserve it. I was reminded of how people I never knew helped my parents. There were too many people to count but it happened enough times to make me eternally grateful.
Instead of complaining we are doing our best to be part of the solution!
So here are our best efforts to begin to help thin out the food lines and confront the poverty roadblocks that are keeping people from achieving their dreams and fulfilling their destiny. IfYouBelieveInMe.org exists to help those that wish to help themselves. If you really want a chance Sign Up! If you would like to be a part of someone’s success story just Donate!
We look forward to hearing from you!
